The Home Sharing Program matches senior citizens with compatible persons of any age, in shared-living arrangements in homes throughout New York City.
The Respite Care Program provides affordable Home Attendants for elderly persons whose care is dependent upon relatives and others who require short-term relief from those responsibilities.

Home Sharing - Prospective adult “hosts,” who have a private bedroom available within their homes, are linked up with appropriate adult “guests” to share their space. One of the “matchmates” must be age 60 or over.
Respite Care – Applicants for the Respite Care Program must have health problems, be 60 years of age and older and who reside in one of the five boroughs of New York City.

Home Sharing – There is no charge for the Home Sharing Program’s matching service. However, Home Sharing participants are responsible for all housing-related expenses.
Respite Care – Home Attendants work independently as private contractors for Respite Care Program clients. The hourly rates for Home Attendant services are $9.00 per hour on weekdays and $9.25 per hour on weekends, plus round trip carfare, for a one person household. For a multiple person household, hourly rates are $10.00 per hour on weekdays and $10.25 per hour on weekends, plus round trip carfare per visit.
