Topic: CEU - Intergenerational Care: Mutual Aid for Thriving Communities

One hour CEU session. LESIAC will cover the cost of offering the CEU class.

This professional development workshop emphasizes the importance of intentionality in community care and mutual aid, where individuals of all ages—young and old—contribute to each other’s well-being. By fostering reciprocal relationships, we can strengthen social support networks and confront generational biases.

Participants will explore how the exchange of knowledge, skills, and support between generations promotes growth, learning, and resilience. Recognizing that developmental transitions occur across the lifespan, including in adults 60-100+, this workshop will highlight how intergenerational care supports community empowerment by conceptualizing caregiving as a mutual process, attendees will gain strategies to create inclusive, empathetic programs that encourage trust and collaboration.

FEE: $25 per person. First 3 spots are covered per IAC member at no charge.
